Where In Sussex to Return

Steve Pilfold has been confirmed for Seahaven FM: the new station for Newhaven, Seaford and Peacehaven!
Steve will present the breakfast show on the station every Monday-Friday during March 2008, as the station broadcasts it’s first ever trial broadcast from brand new studios in Seaford Town Centre.
Steve, 29, from Newhaven is very excited about the prospect of broadcasting to his home area saying “It’s great that Nick and the team have put Seahaven FM together so that the area can, at last, have a community radio station which isn’t driven by the needs of shareholders or trying to cover a massive area”

Steve on Rocket FM November 2007
Steve has broadcast the lunchtime show on Lewes’s Rocket FM for the past five years, and has gained a large following for his popular competition, “Where in Sussex“, where callers have to try and identify a location in Sussex from his clues. Steve says that listeners on Seahaven FM can look forward to not only more Where in Sussex competitions, but also his new feature “Roofing in the Gallops“, where local tradesmen can call in and get a mention and a song played while they listen to Seahaven FM at their workplace. Local people will also get the chance to talk about local issues, projects and other community related topics as guests on the show, and of course Steve will welcome any input and comments from the community, as he opens the phone-lines.
The station will start broadcasting on Sunday 2nd March at the stroke of midnight and run for twenty-eight days. It is already broadcasting test transmissions on its website at www.seahavenfm.com and will continue broadcasting online throughout the year.

Edition!
Hi Steve, Good luck on Seahaven FM and best regards to the usual suspects. Careful with that axe, Eugene. RGDS RLT
Best wishes with your programme on Seahaven FM – unfortunately there aren’t any details of their programme guide published on their website for some obscure reason, but in my opinion they really, really should publish the programme details for during their run. Also, here’s hoping that Eugene will be fit and well again!!!!!!
Thanks Rupert….it’s been hard work!
It’s not an obscure reason at all…. the schedule is still evolving for various reasons involving third parties, so there isn’t much point in publicising it. Also, it’s more down to strips and strands than individual personalities on community radio, so the schedule will be more based around the genres than the actual people.
I didn’t know Eugene wasn’t fit and well! He hasn’t looked on death’s door when I have seen him a few times a week for the last couple of months!
