I’m sure you’ve all heard of Winne the Pooh. He lived, with his friends in 100 Acre Wood, which is actually part of Ashdown Forest near Hartfield in East Sussex, England, around a 30 minute drive from me. This is one of the most beautiful and peaceful parts of the county.

I took a ride around the area and took lots of pictures (below). I hope you like them. I plan to go back soon and find Eeyore’s Gloomy Place (I love Eeyore!) and some of the other places dedicated to Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Tigger and Christopher Robin (the author A.A. Milne’s son). There is a shop called Pooh Corner in the village of Hartfield, and the rather SPIFFING Anchor Inn (map), if you fancy lunch. For afternoon tea, there are the ever popular Duddleswell Tea Rooms (map), just the other side of the forest.
